Welcome to the Monday Mix, where we showcase new music just added to the opbmusic broadcast. This week, we highlight a vocal-driven duo, a beautiful single benefiting out of work touring crew and a funky Texas trio.

THANKS TO OUR SPONSOR:

 Ohmme - "3243"

The Skinny: Ohmme has released a new single, "3243," which is powered by the impressive vocals of the duo of Sima Cunningham and Marcie Stewart. The song builds various times to accent the chorus, adding to the texture established by their haunting harmonies.

Release Info: The album "Fantasize Your Ghost" is out on June 5 via Joyful Noise.

Big Thief - "Love In Mine"

The Skinny: This song is a previously unreleased standalone single pulled from the sessions that became the 2019 album "Two Hands." Proceeds from the track go towards the band's road crew during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We all felt this song was one of the strongest songs/captures in the 'Two Hands' batch, but we could never quite get it to fit in sequence. Happy to be sharing it now," the group said in a press release. In addition to funding a good cause, this gentle guitar lullaby serves as a soothing escape through the power of music.

Release Info: The track is out now via 4AD.

Khruangbin - "Time (You And I)"

The Skinny: This predominantly instrumental Texas trio expands its musical portfolio here with the introduction of vocals. This single combines the lyrical element seamlessly with a dreamy disco take that pairs well with the group's signature vintage funk and soul sound. This is one that will lift your spirits and have you dancing in the streets (at an appropriate distance from others).

Release Info: The album "Mordechai" is out on June 26 via Dead Ocean.
