Studio Sessions
Sera Cahoone may be a drummer by trade, but the Seattle musician is quickly making a name for herself as a singer-songwriter. The third release from her on Sub Pop in the past five years, Deer Creek Canyon, often finds the Colorado native looking homeward (as the title track indicates) on an intensely personal collection that also happens to be tuneful. We joined Cahoone and her band during soundcheck before a recent performance at the Doug Fir in Portland.
