Alan Singley and Pants MachineDecember 24, 2009

We've been enjoying the new Alan Singley and Pants Machine record, Feelin' Citrus, since its summer release. We liked the way the songs on the record seemed to float in a space between the psychedelic and winsome innocence, and we liked the great arrangements and horns. For this session, a string trio increased the group's size to 9, and makes the case that in fact, more is more. Enjoy.

This space may be the very BEST reason for having an internet: we get to see and hear new artists without the "advantage" of having been "discovered" by the big labels. I'm an old guy, and was on the verge of giving up on finding talented young musicians, but my mistake. They're everywhere! Alan Singly & Pants Machine, and Ah Holly Fam'ly... good, INTERESTING music is alive and well. Looking forward to more. Thanks!
