Studio Sessions
Mimicking Birds in-studio, 7-17-09
Recording engineer: Steven Kray with technical assistance from Randy Layton
Ahead of their debut release due out later in March on Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace label, the upstart Portland trio plays their mesmerizing, cosmos-inspired songs in our studios. Frontman Nate Lacy also talks about the sudden progression of the band that he began as a one man bedroom recording act, including recording in Brock's home studio, and the "big picture" issues that inform many of his songs.
Mimicking Birds celebrate the release of their debut March 6th at the Mission Theater before supporting Black Prairie on dates later in the spring.
