Loney Dear — June 25, 2009

Swedish band Loney Dear makes a stop in Portland tomorrow night at Mississippi Studios, touring behind their latest release, Hall Music, which adds a sweeping orchestral sound to Emil Svanängen's songs. When we recorded this session back in 2009, Svanängen talked about his love affair with the Northwest, his songwriting, and the secret power of whistling in pop music. And his song "I Was Only Going Out" became one of our favorite instudio videos ever.
