Laura Veirs in-studio at OPB, 6-15-07
The very first in-studio recording we did last summer featured then-recent Portland transplant Laura Veirs. Veirs and her band released her sixth album in 2007, Saltbreakers, in the process adding some new elements to her sonic palette on songs like the electronically textured "Don't Lose Yourself," and the exquisite and ghostly "To the Country." These are the songs she played for us in-studio that day last June.
opbmusic.org pursues the best artists in the area — whether locals or just passing through — and pulls them into the studio for intimate performances for our audience.
