Grizzly Bear brought its touring show to Portland's Keller Auditorium Thursday night, filling the massive venue with its sprawling sound. What once began as Brooklynite Ed Droste's solo bedroom recording has grown and shape-shifted over time to become one of the biggest touring acts in the country, without losing its hard-to-classify style. Thursday night, the band played through songs old and new, emphasizing thick instrumental textures with a backdrop of lights that dipped and rose like lantern-shaped jellyfish.
