Nick Jaina's 'Beanstalks' Tonight

No bones about it, we're big fans of Nick Jaina. You may very well know this. We've welcomed him into our studios for sessions a couple of times with two very different sounding results (Jan.'08 and March '10) and we do our best to keep with the artistic whirlwind that he is (what with his record releases, weekly columns, and the ballet he's been working on).

Tonight he finally gets a chance to celebrate the release of his latest recording, The Beanstalks That Have Brought Us Here Are Gone, which we previewed and premiered back in May (yeah, we used the same photo, but it's such a dashing shot). Joining him at Mississippi Studios are some of the female voices that star on the new record, including Laura Gibson and Seattle's Kaylee Cole, as well as the soulful Tahoe Jackson who isn't on the record, but certainly presents an interesting collaborative possibility. Denver's Dovekins, Minneapolis' Spirits of the Red City, and Portland's own Run On Sentence open.
