Sallie Ford puts on a great performance, which is why we've had she and her band three different times as our in-studio guests. The last time she was in, she closed her set with with "Party Kids", which will be on her next album, Untamed Beast, which is set for release on the 19th of this month.
But in addition to her strong live stage presence, she also knows how to handle herself when words come to blows. Director Matthew Thomas Ross (who has previously worked with Ford) cast her as a bartender, but when a rowdy group of bikers comes in, well, girl can hold her own. You'll see.
The Portland bar-brawl may be part of the current zeitgeist, as seen in Denver's "The Way It Is". Oh, wait, what's that? You don't think so? Do you want to take this outside?
In other Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside news, the band plays a pair of hometown release shows at the Wonder Ballroom February 22nd and 23rd, and they'll be featured on OPB-TV's Art Beat next Thursday (February 7th).
