Plus, your chance to win tickets to this week's Sera Cahoone/Patrick Park show at the Doug Fir. We'll give away a few pairs of tickets to Tuesday night's show via email (opbmusic@opb.org) tonight during the 8 o'clock hour.

Y la Bamba is great - I didn't realize they were on the bill today. I know their accordionist... he's a busy musician, plays in many bands, including my son's school's chorus (as pianist). I'm wishing now that I had gotten over there today. Ah well indeed. We'll just have to wait until September, when You Who starts up again.

Oh, and thanks for "Julia" - will look forward to it. And that fantastic Dorothy Parker duo of songs. Prince and the Real Tuesday Weld! Fun stuff.

Oh, any little excuse to bring back some vintage Prince. Especially that one. And now two (2) requests for "Julia" tonight! The people have spoken.

It's a great song. What can I say? The people have taste.

Hi Mark- Care to try again?

So, I saw Wang Chung is playing at the Doug Fir. I'm not sure how comprehensive your '80s pop collection is but failing that how about "Julia" by the Very Best (that's Karen's request). Cheers, Mark

Yeah, I don't know what to make of that Wang Chung bill. Is this hipster irony? Are Wang Chung reinventing themselves? Will they play the hits? Who knows? Funny I did just play "Julia" last night. See if maybe I can work it in a bit later, though, sure.

Hey Jeremy, Thanks for entertaining the idea of "Julia" two nights in a row. I missed it last night. That song, like a few others (incl. The Thermals "Now We Can See"), is a little bit addictive for some reason. Anyway, in the interest of avoiding redundancy, how about some Fleet Foxes? I've been really enjoying Blitzen Trapper's terrific new album (courtesy of NPR) this afternoon and it got me thinking about Fleet Foxes. Did you go to You Who with the Dandies today? I missed it... slaving away on a manuscript and writing press releases this weekend.

Flavor of the Month made my Saturday night! Maybe play some Blunt Mechanic tonight?

Hey, nah, no big deal. No one listens to both nights anyway! We’ll do it! I’ll try to get FF in— the roots cache is suddenly high for the final hour. I was at You Who today to deliver our banner and had to leave after hearing Y la Bamba play a few. I saw the Dandies’ set list and they ended with “Boys Better,” which would have been pretty swell to see. Ah well.
