Broken Bells, LCD Soundsystem, Caribou, Bobby Bare Jr., The Long Winters, Vetiver, Local Natives, Patrick Watson and Why? are but a few of the names playing Portland dates this week-- a week that also includes new releases from Peter Wolf Crier, Damien Jurado, Bettye LaVette and Karen Elson, among others. Plus, on the air tonight we're in-studio with Breathe Owl Breathe as the Michigan trio plays new songs from their upcoming album.

Questions? Comments? Requests? Randomness? We're here all night long....and at opbmusic@opb.org.

Any word on the Toots & the Maytalls / Sierra Leon Refuge All-Star / Jujuba show last week? I wanted to go but couldn't make it happen.

Aside from End Hits' tweet about it being a very empty Roseland that night, nothing specific. Haven't heard the new Toots yet (you?), but we had the Refugee All-Stars in for a session you'll be hearing soon!

Didn't even know there was a new Toots. I'd love to hear it. I'm sorry to hear Roseland was empty, though I can imagine it would be a bit more pleasant than it often is. Not my favorite venue. sitting here trying to imagine an audience wearing capes for Breathe Owl Breathe. Sounds surreal. A bit odd, too.
