What/who was playing at exactly 8:30pm tonight? Thank you.

Hey Mike, "Stanislaus" by Sea Wolf started at 8:30, and was preceded by Dead Man's Bones' "Lose Your Soul." The second one contained a children's choir if that helps. The full playlist is here: http://opbmusic.org/playlists/2009/10/25/20 Thanks for listening!

A fascinating Deer Tick in session. Rarely do bands say much that's not obvious or uncontroversial but he certainly did - I'll rerun that on the internet soon. I recently went back to listen to SOn Volt's 'Trace' album - do you think this is their best? I was going to ask you to lay your fav ever Son Volt track, but this hour (unlike the first) has been spot on for my tastes & I prefer seeing what you come up with...

Absolutely on the Deer Tick. This is perhaps my favorite interview we've ever done. McCauley comes across so many different ways that it ultimately becomes one: real, human. I've listened to it several times myself at this point. Totally with you on "Trace" too. Most definitely remains their best....but so hard to choose one song. I'll be glad to get one on.

Great one. But I still say they sound like the Bodeans. Only better.
