When Interviewees Attack!

It's likely you've already seen this given that it's already been all over the web today, but just in case you haven't sit back and errr... enjoy(?) Billy Bob Thornton's subdued fit on a visit yesterday to Canada's QTV with his band The Boxmasters. In a Joaquin Phoenix-worthy performance, the actor takes issue with being called an actor instead, apparently, of a musician and it's more or less downhill from there. As someone who does a lot of these kinds of things myself, I can say that these types of encounters keep me up at night.

As previously mentioned, this easily joins the likes of Sigur Ros and Gene Simmons for their memorable lack of answering-questions-on-the-radio skills. Can you think of any others to share?

I finally went and looked at this. I can only guess that Billy-Bob is just tweaking the DJ. Or he's stoned out of his mind. He can be a good actor but I've always thought he was an odd dude. The DJ did his best to keep the interview going but how do you handle a complete train-wreck? Pretty wierd thing.

I'm tensed up watching this, as the band quietly seems to be flummoxed about whatever BBT doing. Overall, he seems convinced that creating a odd situation is in his best interest. I have no idea what causes this - is it schick for press?
