I can't listen at 11. I have to tune in to KMHD at 10pm to listen to Beats & Pieces with Steven Cantor. "Alt-Rock": basically it's a catch-all term for this rock-folk deal you play. It's ok, sometimes it's a lot of fun. But it is terribly limited compared to what OPB used to do. It is also very limited culturally, as I wrote in a letter to OPB earlier in Feb. Basically, getting rid of a classic show like Afropop for another hour of rock stuff (the new show out of Chicago) is a big blow to diversity in this vanilla-ish town. You are a fine DJ, Jeremy, but this ain't the OPB I used to support.

In House with Jeremy Petersen really rocks. He has a great playlist and his voice is made for radio. Enjoyed your "Say Hi To Your Mom"! Good sounding stuff!!!

Good show for unpacking a house, JP!

What luck! This is the house unpacking show tonight-- maybe that should inspire a selection or two in the final 30 minutes....

This is ridiculous. Lose Afropop, lose Etown, and add a rock news show out of Chicago that frankly is uninteresting? You must be kidding me. If you must get rid of something, dust BBC World Service--who needs more news on the weekends? But you have betrayed us long-time listeners already, too too much. I keep listening hoping you will recapture your old adventerousness, but I see that you all have decided to give in to this insipid alt-rock scene. A little alt-rock is fine, but to devote the entire music programing to it is just stupid.

E-Town airs Sunday nights at 11, FYI. Is it all "alt-rock"? What is "alt-rock"?
