What started in December with a pair of new songs from Southerly's Krist Krueger has now hit an even dozen. This week's addition -- written, recorded and produced by Krueger at Sonic Sandbox -- is "You Can't Take It With You."

Krueger writes: "Hallelujah for straightforward rock songs! Perhaps representative of an internal marriage between early David Bowie and Weezer?"

new Laura Gibson seems pretty good - a bit of exploration for her, so me stretching and, as you say, more texture. I'd love to hear her mix it up a bit more though, something peppy to go with all the moody stuff. Anything like that on the new disc? I looked at her tour schedule and she's playing almost every night in March and April, all over the west. Aggressive!
